2026–2027 CPD Compliance for Residential Sales Agents
Practical Training for a Changing Property Industry
The New South Wales property industry is entering a new era of professional accountability.
For the 2026–2027 CPD year, NSW Fair Trading has introduced a more rigorous continuing professional development framework that shifts the emphasis from theoretical learning to applied competency. This reflects the increasing complexity of property transactions and the introduction of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) obligations across the real estate sector.
At Industry Training Consultants, our compulsory CPD workshops are designed to prepare residential sales agents for these evolving requirements through practical, interactive classroom-based learning.
Workshop Location
Mint Business Centre

Why Choose Industry Training Consultants
Our workshops are delivered exclusively face-to-face, ensuring compliance with NSW Fair Trading’s interactive learning requirements while delivering practical, real-world competency development.
Our training is designed to complement the rollout of our AgentSafe for Real Estate Compliance Management System and AgentSafe AML/CTF Compliance Framework, supporting agencies to integrate compliance obligations into day-to-day operational practice.
Your workshop includes:
- Practical, scenario-based learning using real agency situations.
- Application of the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 in day-to-day agency practice.
- AML/CTF operational readiness tailored specifically to the real estate industry, including customer due diligence, customer and property risk assessments, transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, record-keeping requirements and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Practical guidance on implementing compliant policies, procedures and risk management strategies within a real estate business.
- Competency-based assessment aligned with NSW Fair Trading's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Participants leave with practical capability, not just a CPD certificate.
2026–2027 Compulsory Topics
Your 7-hour CPD requirement includes the following mandatory topics for residential sales agents:
- Auction Laws and Practice
- Contracts
- Rules of Conduct Refresher
- Supervision Guidelines and AML/CTF in Agency Practice
Workshop Schedule & Enrolment
To complete your CPD requirement, you must attend both sessions within the same month.
Session 1: 4 hours
Session 2: 3 hours
Total CPD: 7 hours
Why Our CPD Is Delivered Over Two Sessions
The 2026–2027 CPD framework places greater emphasis on applied learning, practical scenarios and assessment. Our program has therefore been deliberately structured across two sessions rather than attempting to compress the full seven-hour requirement into a single day.
The learning outcomes are rigorous, particularly where participants are required to apply their knowledge through scenario-based activities and assessment. We believe participants need sufficient time to engage with the material, participate in practical activities and demonstrate their understanding without the effects of an unnecessarily intensive training day.
Our approach is simple: CPD should be structured around effective learning and the required learning outcomes — not simply the number of hours on a timetable.
Investment: $500.00 (Incl. GST)
A single enrolment covers both sessions for your selected month.
*Early enrolment is recommended as places are limited.
